The Role – General Machinist

Wykes Engineering is looking for a skilled General Machinist to join our expanding engineering team. We are looking for someone with a conscientious approach to their work and be willing to learn all aspects of our range of products.

Key experience/ responsibilities will include the following:

Operate and set up machines such as milling machines, centre lathes, saw, radial drill and manual milling machines

Read and interpret engineering drawings to understand specifications 

Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards 

Maintain equipment by cleaning and performing regular maintenance 

Collaborate with engineers and production team to improve processes 

Ensuring that H&S are maintained throughout, following procedure and safe systems of work.

The Person

We are looking for someone with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
