Transport Shift Supervisor 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Shift Supervisor to support our transport operations on a 4 on 4 off shift basis. As our Transport Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for efficiently coordinating and delivering the schedule to drivers, utilising resources and responding to customer requirements.

Responsibilities 

• Manage the daily transport operations and plans set out by the transport department.

• Oversee a team of drivers, providing guidance and support as needed.

• Work with the planning team to implement efficient routing plans to optimise schedules and communicate changes/ updates required to customers, transport team and drivers.

• Monitor compliance with all relevant regulations, including health and safety standards. 

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and address any logistical challenges. 

• Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including vehicle maintenance and driver performance – making sure that systems are kept up to date.

• Resolve any issues that arise during transport operations promptly and effectively.

Experience/ Qualifications 

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within the transportation industry. 

• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices. 

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. 

• Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to improve operational efficiency. 

• Proficient in using transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite. 

• A valid driver's licence is preferred; additional qualifications in logistics or transport management are advantageous.
